Ronnie McLaughlin
Ronnie McLaughlin, founder of the Ronnie McLaughlin Dance Studio, opened her fist studio in Northeast Philadelphia in 1962 along with a family friend. Together, they made a daring start by teaching the neighborhood children the art of dance. With Ronnie's energy, drive, and talent, her business flourished. With her signature grace and flair, she put on shows that everyone cherished.
In 1967, Ronnie's family and business were still growing. She decided to pack up her sequins and move to Merchantville, New Jersey. With her daughters by her side, the studio was quite a family affair. Through the years, so many students have graced the hardwood floors, with "shuffle steps", "time steps", demi plies and so much more.
Ronnie was a class act, and the lessons that she taught of endeavor, teamwork, discipline, poise and friendships went beyond the studio.
Today, her traditions and legacy still remain true.
